Kathy Cole
I'm also a lifelong resident of Greenville SC, having gone to East North Street Elementary, Greenville Jr. High
and Wade Hampton High School. I married Glenn Cole (a Greenville High boy) in 1969 and we spent the first
three years of our marriage at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. After he completed his last year of
military duty in Alaska we settled back down in Greenville. By then we had a 1 ½ year old, our daughter Lesley.
She is now married to Todd and they have given us two beautiful granddaughters MacKenzie and Mattison. In
1980 we were blessed with our son Chris. We're so proud of all of them!
My entire working career was spent with Textile Hall Corporation who produced the “textile show”, Holiday Fair,
etc. Those were wonderful years and I truly enjoyed my time there.
I've always had a passion for the beach, the music and the dance. I've been very involved for quite a few years
with the Carolina Shag Club, having served on the board as President along with other positions. Out of this
involvement has come many life-long friendships that Glenn and I cherish.
Now, in the next phase of my life, I find myself doing something I never EVER thought I would do. For someone
who managed to stay away from a microphone her entire life I really don't know how I ended up doing a radio
show. I only know that I've been very blessed my entire life and know that the door that opened will take me on
to many more adventures.
Thanks to Beach Bob for giving me this opportunity (whether I knew I wanted it or not) and to my wonderful
husband and precious children for their total support in this, as always!
